Fall-Safety Charges Top OSHA’s List of Most-Cited Violations

Not protecting construction workers from falls remains the hazard most often cited by Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspectors, according to agency numbers released Sept. 10.

Four rules related to construction falls were the most violated to date for fiscal year 2019, OSHA’s deputy enforcement director, Patrick Kapust, said during the National Safety Council Congress in San Diego. Fiscal 2019 ends Sept. 30.

The conference, one of the largest annual gatherings of safety professionals, runs Sept. 9-11.
