Wynn Casino Dealers Get $5.6 Million to Settle Tip-Skimming Suit

A $5.6 million settlement between Wynn Las Vegas and more than 1,000 table-game dealers who alleged the casino illegally pooled their tips won final approval from a federal judge in Nevada.

The agreement resolves protracted Fair Labor Standards Act litigation that included trips to the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

The workers will divvy up $4.15 million and their attorneys will receive $1.4 million in fees, plus nearly $7,500 for expenses. The deal also allocates $20,000 total in service awards to the two lead plaintiffs and $20,000 for settlement costs.
