Wrigley Worker Sees Race Discrimination Suit Revived on Appeal

Wrigley Manufacturing Co. saw its win tossed in a race discrimination lawsuit brought by a Black worker who was passed over for promotions in favor of White, less educated candidates.

Marius Brown presented a “convincing mosaic” of evidence, including the fact that Wrigley regularly promoted White people with significantly less education than Brown while telling him that obtaining another degree would help him get a promotion, the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit ruled Tuesday.
