Australia LNG Union Votes in Favor of Strikes at Inpex Plant (1)

Workers at Inpex Corp.’s Ichthys LNG export project in Australia have voted to strike, which could halt production if the dispute is not resolved, the union representing employees said in a statement.

Offshore Alliance members have endorsed various forms of industrial action, including work stoppages from 30 minutes to 24 hours, the group said. The two sides will be engaged in negotiations through May 15, and the union doesn’t plan to begin strikes before then.
