Workday Faces Ex-Employee’s Gender Bias, Retaliation Lawsuit (1)

Workday Inc. subjected a former employee to gender-based discrimination and retaliation, leading to her firing, according to a new lawsuit against the HR technology company.

A manager at the California-based company repeatedly declined to promote the worker, instead favoring “less experienced and less qualified Caucasian males,” the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia says. When she raised bias concerns, he threatened her with a negative performance review instead of addressing her concerns, the suit says.
