Williams-Sonoma Workers Sue Over Unpaid Covid-19 Screening Times

Workers at Williams-Sonoma Stores Inc. shops in California were unpaid for time spent undergoing mandatory pre-shift Covid-19 screenings and were regularly required to work through meal and rest breaks during the holiday season, a class action filed Monday in San Francisco alleges.

A stock associate who worked at a Williams-Sonoma store in San Luis Obispo, Calif., sued the retailer on behalf of employees hired directly by the company as well as through staffing agencies.
