Wife-Swapping Deputies Fail to Get High Court Review

Two former sheriff’s deputies failed to persuade the U.S. Supreme Court to review a lower court ruling they were lawfully fired after they swapped wives and moved in with their new families.

Brandon Coker and Michael Golden argued that Julian Whittington, the sheriff of Bossier Parish, La., violated their constitutional rights when he fired the deputies for refusing to end the wife-swapping arrangement, but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit rejected the argument.
