A final rule to modernize and streamline the H-2A visa program so farmers can better access temporary guest workers is one step closer to implementation.
The Department of Labor, which oversees parts of the program through its Employment and Training Administration, submitted the regulation Wednesday to the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, according to an online posting.
Review by the White House regulatory office is typically the last step before a federal agency releases a regulation to the public.
