Daniel Gade, a White House nominee for a seat on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, has withdrawn his name from consideration, leaving an agency that loses its quorum on Jan. 1 with an uncertain future.
Gade, a Republican, confirmed to Bloomberg Law that he will no longer be considered for the role, citing the “toxic political climate in Washington right now.” His withdrawal was first reported in the National Law Journal.
