White House Is Reviewing GOP NLRB Pick, Says Key Senator (1)

A candidate to fill the Republican vacancy at the National Labor Relations Board has been sent to the White House and will receive Senate consideration, a key Republican lawmaker said Thursday.

Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski said she was assured by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) that the nominee, once officially nominated by President Joe Biden, will see their day on the chamber floor. That assurance, Murkowski said, was conditional to win her support for Gwynne Wilcox to fill the Democratic NLRB vacancy Wednesday.
