Westchester, N.Y., Golf Club Faces Covid Accommodation Suit

Leewood Golf Club Inc. in Westchester County, N.Y., was hit with an Americans with Disabilities Act suit by a former assistant general manager with underlying health conditions who was fired after asking to work from home due to Covid-19.

Leewood, which once boasted Babe Ruth and D.W. Griffith as members, “immediately terminated” Andrew Balint when he told his supervisor he couldn’t remain on the premises following an event where Covid protocols were ignored, according to the complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
