Welspun Pipe Workers Seek Overtime Pay in Proposed Class Action

Workers claim Welspun Tubular LLC and its corporate affiliates have intentionally and systematically deprived them of overtime pay, according to a new lawsuit filed Wednesday in Arkansas federal court.

Brandon Ward and 18 individuals sued Welspun Pipes Inc., Welspun Tubular LLC, Inc. and Welspun USA in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. They seek to represent similarly situated employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Arkansas law.

The plaintiffs, who work as “classic manual laborers” at a Little Rock, Ark. manufacturing facility, allege that the defendants have intentionally misclassified them as exempt from overtime.
