Wells Fargo Defeats Fired Worker’s Age Bias, Retaliation Claims

Wells Fargo Bank NA secured a pretrial win ending a lawsuit alleging it discriminated against an older premier banker when it fired her after she refused to obtain two newly required securities licenses.

The ex-employee failed to put forth evidence that would allow her state-law age discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims against the bank to reach a jury, Judge Sunshine S. Sykes of the US District Court for the Central District of California said Monday.
