The EEOC is suing a group of providers of solid waste removal, recycling pickup, and landfill operation services for sex discrimination after they allegedly refused to hire qualified female applicants because of their sex, the agency announced Friday.
Waste Industries USA LLC, TransWaste Services LLC, Waste Industries Atlanta LLC, and GFL Environmental Inc. allegedly passed over a class of female applicants in Georgia for truck driver positions in favor of less qualified male applicants, the Equl Employment Opportunity Commission said.
