Washington Post Accused of Not Bargaining Over In-Office Policy

The Washington Post allegedly violated labor law by refusing to bargain with the workers’ union over the news organization’s return-to-office policy, according to a complaint from a National Labor Relations Board regional director.

The Post rescinded existing RTO policy exceptions for several of its employees without first negotiating with the Washington-Baltimore News Guild, an NLRB spokesperson said Friday.

The details of the complaint weren’t immediately available. Unless the parties settle, the case will be heard before an administrative law judge in April, the spokesperson said.
