Warner Bros. Poised to Escape White Worker’s Race Bias Claims

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and a related entity are set to shed a White camera operator’s allegations that they passed him over for a job because of his race.

The worker’s failure-to-hire, retaliation, and hostile work environment claims will likely fail because the job he wanted wasn’t actually available and coworker comments he challenged weren’t severe or pervasive, the US District Court for the Central District of California said in a tentative ruling issued ahead of a Monday hearing on the companies’ motion for summary judgment.
