Bridge, Structural, and Ornamental Iron Workers general executive council member Walter Wise took office Feb. 1 as the union’s new general president, replacing former president Joseph Hunt, who retired during the final year of his term.
Wise will serve as president until the end of the year. In August, however, the Iron Workers will hold an election to choose executive council members and a president to serve new five-year terms.
