Wal-Mart Stores East LP allegedly violated federal law when it failed to accommodate an employee’s disability-related leave and then fired him for failing to comply with its attendance policy, the EEOC announced Thursday.
The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleged in a lawsuit that a store manager in Raleigh, N.C., requested a reasonable accommodation for seizures that at times made him late to work or miss multiple shifts because he was receiving treatment for his disability.
