Walgreens, Workers Score Approval for Wage Deal on Second Try

Two Walgreen Co. workers gained preliminary court approval of their second attempt at a $950,000 class action settlement in a wage case against the pharmacy chain, after a judge found that the renewed agreement resolved several deficiencies in the first.

The new agreement provides an opportunity for class members to object to the plaintiffs’ anticipated motion for attorney’s fees, and made other needed changes, said Judge Jon S.
