Wage-Hour Chief Asked by Judge to Produce Revocation Order

A Labor Department in-house judge wants the Trump administration’s new top wage enforcer to produce documents in which she revoked her subordinates’ enforcement power.

During a June 24 hearing on a related Wage and Hour Division case, Administrative Law Judge Steven D. Bell teed up an employer to formally request that the agency submit WHD chief Cheryl Stanton’s order to staff revoking their previously delegated authorities. Bell said he’ll give the agency until July 9 to produce Stanton’s documents or to file a motion for protective order.
