The US Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division will deploy a strike force of investigators to the Mississippi Delta later this month for a special enforcement operation aimed at violators of the H-2A temporary agricultural worker program.
The DOL’s wage enforcement arm is sending 30 investigators from various regional offices to the northwest area of Mississippi for the initiative dubbed “Operation Delta Force” that will start the week of Aug. 29, according to an email reviewed by Bloomberg Law.
