Volta Charging Industries LLC furloughed or laid off 170 employees without providing 60 days of advance notice as required under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, a proposed class action alleges.
The furloughed employees sued Volta in the US District Court for the Northern District of California Thursday, seeking back pay and benefits as required by the WARN Act and the California WARN Act.
