Virtusa Corp. must continue to defend a lawsuit asserting that the information technology consulting company uses temporary visa programs to discriminate against workers who aren’t from South Asia.
A federal judge in New Jersey April 30 refused to toss those portions of Leo Sugg’s case that pertain to his own claims of discrimination. Sugg also is pursuing a class action on behalf of other non-South Asian workers who either weren’t hired or were fired by the company allegedly because of their national origin.
