Inova Home Health and Alternate Solutions Health Network have agreed to pay $105,000 to settle a pay discrimination lawsuit in Virginia, the EEOC said Thursday.
IHH and ASHN allegedly paid female post-acute care coordinators less than their newly-hired male counterparts for performing equal work under similar working conditions, which violates Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Equal Pay Act of 1963, according to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The female PACCs were also allegedly denied wage adjustment after filing a complaint.
