UWUA Members Ratify DTE Energy Contract In Michigan With 12 Percent Wage Increases

Members of the Utility Workers Union of America overwhelmingly ratified a four-year collective bargaining agreement with DTE Energy Co. covering 3,600 employees in Michigan, the union announced March 25.

Workers will receive annual wage increases totaling 12 percent over the contract term, a signing bonus, and increased company matches on their 401(k) accounts. The new contract also introduces two-tier pensions for new hires, holds the line on any employee health care premium cost increases, and extends successorship language for five years.
