Smart home company Vivint Inc.'s lawsuit over the denial of nonimmigrant visas for sales managers was partially blocked after a district court found it lacked jurisdiction over the case.
Provo, Utah-based Vivint sued the Department of Homeland Security in September 2020 over the denial of L-1B visas for sales managers at the company. Those visas allow employers to transfer workers with specialized knowledge from one of its foreign offices to the US.
