The U.S. Postal Service and a Black female postmaster who said she was denied a lateral position that was awarded to a White man settled her race and sex discrimination lawsuit, Louisiana federal court records show.
The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana entered an order Tuesday dismissing Loquita Vallery’s case. That came a day after the court canceled a scheduled pre-trial conference because the parties reported that “a settlement was reached.”
