USDA Union Accuses Agency Head of Shunning Bargaining Agreement

A union of workers at the US Department of Agriculture accused Secretary Brooke Rollins of violating the agency’s labor contract, cutting off the group’s stream of funding and refusing to bargain over working conditions.

In a complaint filed Wednesday at the US District Court for the District of Columbia, the National Association of Agriculture Employees said Rollins “refuses to honor union dues allotment from members’ paychecks,” blocking the principal way that unions receive funding.
