Workers throughout the U.S. now have the ability to create myE-Verify accounts and lock their Social Security numbers to prevent misuse, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced April 13.
According to the USCIS, myE-Verify allows users to create a free, secure account to manage the use of their personal information in the E-Verify electronic employment eligibility verification system. Users with myE-Verify accounts also can lock their Social Security numbers to prevent others from using those numbers to gain employment illegally.
