USCIS Allows Grace Period for Prior Green Card Forms After Suit

After making abrupt changes to forms for green cards and a slew of other benefits, US Citizenship and Immigration Services said it will allow a grace period for thousands of applicants who had already submitted applications.

The American Immigration Lawyers Association sued USCIS after those changes were announced without any notice or any grace period for applicants, arguing in a March 7 complaint that it had violated the Administrative Procedure Act.
