The State Department will offer expedited interview appointments to business and tourist travelers to the US for a $750 fee beginning next month.
A temporary final rule released by the agency Monday will allow applicants for B-1 and B-2 visas to secure interview appointments at consular posts within 10 business days after paying the fee. The expedited interview option, which takes effect July 1, will only be offered at a limited number of posts. They’ll be identified later on the State Department’s website.
