US Nuclear Bomb Agency Furloughs 1,400 Workers Amid Shutdown

The US has furloughed approximately 1,400 workers at the National Nuclear Security Administration, the Energy Department said in a statement Monday.

  • Nearly 400 NNSA federal employees will continue to work “to support the protection of property and the safety of human life”: Energy Dept
  • NOTE: NNSA is the federal agency responsible for maintaining and designing the nation’s nuclear weapons
