US Foods Faces Striking Teamsters in Colorado

About 250 workers represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters launched a strike Oct. 24 at a US Foods facility in Colorado.

Mark Madsen, business agent with Teamsters Local 455, told Bloomberg BNA that workers walked off the job because the company has failed to provide the union with information it needs to bargain a new labor contract and has committed various other unfair labor practices.

The IBT has repeatedly targeted food wholesaler US Foods with picket lines across the country, and the union announced during its convention last summer that it would seek to organize more workers there. About ...
