A union that represents cargo handlers at ports from Houston to Boston concluded a two-day meeting in New Jersey with nearly 300 delegates saying they’d back a strike if their labor contract expires before a deal is reached with port employers.
- International Longshoremen’s Association leaders laid out strike mobilization plans at the meeting, which took place Wednesday and Thursday, the union says in a statement
