A federal judge approved a proposed $7 million settlement between U.S. Bank and its parent U.S. Bancorp and more than 3,500 workers, resolving the workers’ claims that the companies failed to provide them with properly itemized wage statements or meal breaks.
The final approval (Wert v. U.S. Bancorp, S.D. Cal., No. 3:13-cv-03130, final approval of settlement 11/7/17) comes six months after the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California preliminarily blessed the pact, which resolves a lawsuit first brought in California state court by Monica Wert.
