New York AG Claims UPS Owes Seasonal Workers Unpaid Wages (1)

New York Attorney General Letitia James sued United Parcel Service Inc. for allegedly withholding millions in pay to thousands of seasonal workers for all hours worked during the peak holiday seasons.

The packaging and shipping giant “repeatedly and persistently” failed to pay seasonal delivery drivers for hours worked in violation of state and federal wage-and-hour laws, including for off-the-clock labor performed before shifts began, after shifts ended, “and at various other times” such as at the start and end of employment, between shifts, and during meal breaks, according a complaint filed Monday in state court.
