UPS Logistics Arm Gets Labor Board Order to Bargain With Union

United Parcel Service Inc. unlawfully refused to bargain with one of its local staff unions, the federal labor board found, handing a win to the International Brotherhood of Teamsters as it seeks to finalize a historic five-year contract with the company.

A three-member panel of the National Labor Relations Board ruled Friday that UPS Supply Chain Solutions Inc., UPS’s freight and logistics arm, erred by refusing to negotiate with a Teamsters local chapter in California after the board already recognized the union’s electoral victory.
