UPS Deal Would Set Standard for Aircraft Mechanics: Teamsters (2)

About 1,300 UPS aircraft mechanics and support employees would see immediate 16 percent raises, improved retirement security, and protection of their health-care benefits under a tentative labor agreement with the shipping company.

Members of Teamsters Local 2727 will vote on ratification of the five-year contract no later than Oct. 1, Tim Boyle, president of the local, told Bloomberg Law Aug. 14. If ratified, the deal would be effective Oct. 1 and would be amendable after Oct. 1, 2023, he said.
