The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center will face a disability discrimination claim by a nurse who says he was improperly detained and involuntarily subjected to a mental health examination in an effort to commit him.
The nurse’s lawsuit sufficiently alleged that his ADHD and other mental health conditions qualify as a disability under the Rehabilitation Act, the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania said Thursday.
