University of Michigan Sued After Sex Misconduct Investigation

A professor at the University of Michigan’s School of Nursing has sued the school, its board of regents, and multiple deans for retaliation after the professor was accused of sexual misconduct.

Robert Stephenson alleges violations of his due process and equal protection rights when he was removed from his positions as director of a research center and chair of a department during a misconduct investigation. Stephenson, who is gay, also says he experienced discrimination because of his sexuality and retaliation in violation of Title IX, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District ...
