University of California Alters Eligibility Rules For Retiree Benefits in Response to Concerns

The University of California is changing its eligibility rules for retiree health benefits effective May 28, the UC announced in a blog post on its website.

To simplify administration of the benefits and respond to employee concerns, the university said, covered employees eligible for the UC Retirement Plan as of June 30, 2013, will be subject to the eligibility rules that were in place as of that date.
