University Gets Ex-Basketball Coach’s Bias Lawsuit Pared Back

A university in Washington state is headed to trial in a former basketball coach’s lawsuit, including on claims for sex discrimination and equal pay, a federal judge said.

The ex-coach provided enough evidence to get some claims against Eastern Washington University in front of a jury, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington said.

However, the Thursday order granted the school summary judgment on her age bias, intentional infliction of emotional distress, due process, and other claims.
