United Technologies Workers End Strike

About 200 United Technologies Corp. workers in Cheshire, Conn., returned to work Oct. 8 after the company’s aerospace division negotiated a new five-year contract with the employees’ union.

The workers, represented by International Association of Machinists Local 62A, were on strike for nearly three weeks after a previous contract expired Sept. 17.

“The union’s glad to have its members back at work,” lead union negotiator Mike Stone told Bloomberg Law. “We never want our members out on strike.”
