United Natural Foods Dispute With Teamsters Paused for NLRB

A Seattle federal court case over a labor dispute between United Natural Foods Inc. and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters was put on hold until the National Labor Relations Board weighs in on the Teamsters’ conduct.

UNF is a party to collective bargaining agreements with two International Brotherhood of Teamsters locals representing employees in its Tacoma, Wash., facility. UNF announced that it would consolidate the Tacoma facility with its Portland facility and replace them with a new distribution center in Centralia, Wash.

The unions filed grievances against UNF, arguing their contracts should allow them to work at the new facility ...
