United Healthcare Worker’s Wage-and-Hour Claims Move Forward

A United Healthcare Services Inc. worker defeated the company’s bid to get her allegations of state and federal wage violations tossed and secured more time to bring the claims.

The UnitedHealth Group Inc. subsidiary can’t use the gap between when the registered nurse last worked in the role at issue and when she filed her complaint to get the case thrown out, the US District Court for the District of New Mexico said. The lawsuit’s “unique circumstances” justify pausing the limitations period and make the case timely, the opinion said.
