UNITE HERE Strikes Hyatt Regency In San Francisco for Three Days

Members of UNITE HERE Local 2 June 8 launched a three-day strike at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco to protest the nearly 10 months the city’s hotel workers have gone without a collective bargaining agreement, the union announced.

The limited-term walkout, affecting about 400 Local 2-represented Hyatt Regency employees, is timed for the eve of Hyatt Hotels Corp.'s first shareholders’ meeting June 9 in Chicago. Hyatt became a publicly traded company Nov. 5.
