Unit of Homeland Security May Be Headed to Loudoun County, Va.

More than 3,700 employees of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Information and Technology will be working at a new location in Loudoun County, Va., beginning in 2020, the county said.

Employees moving to the new location will include engineers, technicians, scientists, and support personnel, the county’s economic development office said in a statement. The CBP’s headquarters office is at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in downtown Washington.

“In reaching an agreement with GSA, Loudoun was able to meet numerous criteria, including transit-accessible office space,” the statement said, referring to the federal General Services Administration. ...
