‘Shame Date’ Ahead: American Pilots Union

American Airlines and the union for about 15,000 of its pilots are continuing to negotiate over a new contract, but the union isn’t optimistic about reaching a contract by a self-imposed Jan. 1 deadline, said pilot and union spokesman Dennis Tajer.
