Little Rock Police Oversight

The Little Rock Police Department could face increased oversight after the Arkansas capital’s mayor called for an ordinance establishing an independent citizen review board. A vote on a prospective ordinance by the city’s Board of Directors could come as early as April 2.

Mayor Frank Scott Jr. (D) called on city officials to draft the ordinance during a March 19 meeting, following the fatal shooting of Bradley Blackshire by a police officer after a traffic stop in February. ...
