Union-Side Lawyer Named to Lead Labor Board’s Chicago Office

Union-side lawyer Angie Cowan Hamada has been selected to lead the National Labor Relations Board’s Chicago regional office.

Cowan Hamada, a shareholder at Allison Slutsky & Kennedy PC, will become the second regional director currently serving who was tapped to head an office without prior experience working for the NLRB. The agency announced her appointment Monday.

“Angie is a brilliant labor lawyer who has dedicated her career to protecting workers’ rights,” NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo said in a statement.
